Onedot has been founded in late 2014 with the goal of making data consumable in various industries. Starting as small startup in the Start Smart Schlieren incubator, situated close to the Schlieren train station, the company quickly grew to over 20 employees, working on our flagship product, the Onedot Platform, based out of Switzerland and Romania. As every company, the current paradigm changes to mandate remote work have kept us busy. Fortunately, our company has been set up in the cloud from the start, and we are proud to say that we do not have a single server on our company premises: A small printer is the only compromise we have to take due to legal reasons. Good collaboration tools, a lively company culture, and transparency in all our processes allow efficient and productive working together across locations and country boundaries.
Despite those settings which predestinate Onedot for remote work, changes to our setup were needed. Our offices in Schlieren turned out to be too big considering the increased remote work. Consequently, the decision has been made to move our offices to a more central location, reduce office space, but at the same time indulge ourself in nice equipment, great infrastructure and good ways how to connect with your team, even outside of business hours.
Shortly after, we found our dream location right in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland.

A modern office with light furniture and a great kitchen awaits all Onedot team members to enjoy lunch together, get a cup of coffee, or have spontaneous meetings in a cafeteria-like setting.

This new office infrastructure allows all team members to network with other companies using this state-of-the-art infrastructure. We share office space with companies such as nine.ch and carvolution.ch among others. We are convinced that an inspiring working environment is a good balance to remote work. This is another reason why employees are free to decide whether and how often they want to be present in the office.

In addition to a large coffee kitchen, there is also enough storage space for personal items. Each team member gets a box where keyboards, notepads, touchpads and headphones can be stored. Since we operate a shared desk policy, this ensures that each team member can equip their own workstation according to their own preferences. Because only those who can quickly implement their work mode and habits and have them accordingly are productive.

The big open plan space with meeting rooms to one side of the office space offers an inviting working environment.
